Amish Teen Romance!

Book 3 of the Amish Hearts series.

Sixteen year-old Mercy is the flirtiest Amish girl in Pennsylvania, attracting Englischers and Amish boys alike. Guys from all around flock to Stoltzfus Bakery, where Mercy works, to sample her delicious apple fritters and snickerdoodle cookies. Mercy never has a shortage of dates, and she likes it that way. After all, there are too many boys out there to settle for just one.

Then Chase, a mysterious, handsome college student, walks into the bakery, catching Mercy's eye and capturing her heart. He's every bit as charming and flirtatious as she is, and she thinks she may have finally met her match.

But then there's Samuel, the smart, sensitive Amish boy Mercy has known for years. Mercy thinks he just might be the guy for her…if only she could get him to forget about her twin sister, Rebekah, whom he has a massive crush on!

Suddenly, the girl who never planned to settle down finds herself in love with two guys at once. It's an autumn for Mercy to fall, and fall hard. But who is the right guy for her, Chase or Samuel? And how can she keep the guys secret from each other in her small community?

A DNF for me. First, present tense is very, very difficult for me to enjoy. Secondly, Mercy thought processes were definitely not Amish, not that I am an expert or anything. Thinking about 'guys', using that word even. When the author made the change to 'boys', it was obvious that the author agreed, although I don't understand why she didn't change it in the first few chapters. Third, Mercy was so flirtatious I couldn't even connect with her. Fourth, This story could have been about any teenage couple, despite the setting. There was definitely a lack of an Amish feel. Though again, this is not a subject I'm knowledgeable about. Fifth, the writing felt way more juvenile than young adult. And six, kissed a boy, instalove. I already knew the book was short but at 33% and instalove, I quit. I will say this, the story was well written and I didn't notice grammar errors or anything. Just definitely didn't work for me.

Mercy Fall Amish Hearts Book 3 edition by Kristina Ludwig Religion Spirituality eBooks Reviews

Mercy's Fall was a fabulous book. This book really excited me and had me entertained for hours on end. I really love the information held within and couldn't put the book down. I highly recommend this book to all readers and think you will find is fascinating!
A very catchy story, though it ended far too soon. This series is so short that the four girls written about - The Amish Hearts books - could be included into one full book. Other than that, as I said before, the stories are very good. I look forward to reading the two or three that I haven't yet read.
This was a very short novel which I read in one evening. It is apparently supposed to be a YA novel to attract teens to the Amish romance genre. In my opinion it showed nothing about the values and beliefs of the Amish, and the story did not even have a real ending. I guess you are supposed to be "hooked" and buy the next book in the series to find out what happens to the characters, but I won't be bothering with that. I suppose there is some sort of moral in the story when Mercy realizes that her actions affect others and she can't just get away with doing whatever feels good to her in the moment, but I did not think this was a very good example of this type of story, and it irritates me when authors leave you hanging at the end of a book on the assumption that this will entice you to buy the next book in the series.
was a good read on my kindle. charactors come almost real life and story line is great. now i have to go back and read first 2.
these books are quit different than other books i've read by different aurthors, such as beverly lewis. customs beliefs and
how they believe are somewhat different. alittle different make a real change. great reading for teen girls and adults as well.

Basically I feel this series is for young people Yet I have still enjoyed reading this series and will be disappointed when #4 ends. But that's ok.
This series is about Twin girls who are going through their 'growing up' years. This continues with Mercy and her learning the difference between being infatuated and really caring for a boyfriend.
The call it love so I'm not certain if it is really love yet - but for the Amish, if they aren't in a deep love yet then it will follow when they marry. Of course, in this story no one gets married - but who knows later....
I have been anxiously waiting to read the third book in this well written series of Amish romance stories. This book was as interesting as the previous books by this very talented author. Mercy is an Amish teenager who loves boys - Amish boys and English boys. When Mercy falls in love with two boys in the same weekend, she has a big decision to make. Mercy turns to her twin sister Rebekah for advice. Does Mercy chose Chase, the English boy or Samuel, the down to earth Amish boy? Buy the book to find out.

I highly recommend this book to anyone who is a fan of Amish fiction. This author's books are a like a breath of fresh air to me, after reading so many other Amish books that are very predictable and boring.
Mercy the wild child of the Amish community and twin of the oh so perfect Rebekah, may have found love in two boys. But what she doesn't know is that love can always be mistaken for lust. This is sweet first love book that makes us Englischers' realize how much drama we actually have in our lives. I love the fact that life is seemingly simple and unhurried in the Amish community of this book series. Mercy experiences a big dilemma in Amish Hearts #3 and unfortunately we won't know the outcome until the next book in the series. Was that the last carriage ride with Samuel or will he forgive her? Will Chase make another appearance and sweep her off her feet again? I think Ms. Ludwig should take careful consideration into maybe trying for a TV show with this book series or maybe an independent film? This is the type of entertainment and reading that is recommended for any age group.. Great job once again!!
